7″ Galaxy Note Shows Up Again

The Galaxy Note series is slowly becoming a well recognized brand.  This is thanks to the fun and sometimes in your face advertising and of course it’s amazing little S-Pen.  The Galaxy Note phones are some of the best on the market and it’s 10.1 incher has found a nice little place in many homes.  So what could make this line up even better?  Well another Galaxy Note of course.

The alleged 7″ version has made its way onto the web again courtesy our favourite leaker, the Benchmark.  A device codenamed N5100 has showed up on NenaMark.  Now while we’re not certain that this is indeed a 7 incher, it makes sense for it to be.  On the spec sheet, this device matches up with all the 2024 Notes.  It features a 1.6 GHz Quad-Core processor (likely from the Exynos 4 series) and the Mali-400MP GPU.  It rocks a 720p screen and should launch with at least Android 4.1.2.

If all these specs make their way to the final product, it’s going to make for one killer 7 inch tablet.  And in my opinion, the 7″ model could actually be the most practical one to date.  You see, for many people they find a 5″ phone to be too large to pocket but too small to be productive.  The 10″ does great as a tablet but can be too large to carry around on a regular basis.  Now a 7″ could fit perfectly for all sorts of business people who need a powerful device that’s easy to carry around while still large enough to be productive.

There’s currently no timeline for a release on this device but I could easily see Samsung showing it off at CES in January and launching it shortly after that.
