We have been informed by our liaison at Rogers that they are now offering up a nice little incentive to get you into a new Samsung Galaxy smart phone. From now until April 1 you can snag a $35 Google Play voucher when you pick up a new phone on a new 2-year or 3-year contract with a minimum $45/month plan.
There’s also a good selection of devices that are on sale right now. The Galaxy S III is on for $0 on a 3-year contract and the Galaxy Note II is just $50 on a 3-year (sure beats the full price I paid…). Other devices include the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Rugby, Galaxy Q and Galaxy Ace II X.
I think the most interesting bit of this news to me is that they’re offering this “voucher.” I’m curious to know how they will be issuing these vouchers. My hope is that they’re coming in the form of a gift card which would point to the impending launch of Google Play gift cards in Canada. This is something I’ll look into a bit and I’ll let you guys know what I find out!
