I mentioned a couple weeks ago that some lucky pre-ordering customers were having their units shipped out a little early, where others are still waiting. Rogers has officially launched the Galaxy S II LTE on their website, but according to the three Rogers dealers I contacted, their stock will not arrive until tomorrow (nov.7th). Of course this may different for other locations, but I got the same story for each one I called.
Rogers is selling this phone for $199.99 on a 3-year term. Full price buyout has been set for $649.99.
As I mentioned before. For those who want to be early adopters, please keep in mind there are special conditions you’ll need to meet before you can use the LTE network. Owning an LTE phone isn’t enough, you will need to subscribe to a LTE data plan, as normal data plans will not work for LTE usage.
Secondly you will need to have an LTE ready sim card, which should be provided to you when buying the phone. Only when you meet these requirements, will you be able to connect and use the LTE network, providing your area is covered. That being said, I highly recommend checking out the LTE coverage map before you even think about grabbing an LTE phone. Last thing you want is to take this exciting piece of equipment home, just to find out you can’t use it to its full extent, and returns are just a headache in itself.

Currently Rogers is offering some promotional LTE data plans for a limited time only. The only one that strikes me as being worth the extra charge is the $50 for 10GB data. Others are cheaper, but don’t hold as much value in a plan, but thats just my personal opinion.
