It looks like November 13 is going to be a good day for people in the market for a new phone. Not only is the Nexus line launching that day, but Bell is also going to be launching their next superphone, the Optimus G. And given what’s what LG packed into this device, the term superphone is almost selling the phone short. Here’s what the phone comes with:
- 1.5GHz Krait CPU Qualcomm Snapdragon™ S4 Pro processor (Quad-Core and LTE)
- Operating System: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
- Network: 2G / 3G / LTE
- Display: 4.7-inch WXGA True HD IPSPLUS (1280 x 768 pixels) / 15:9 ratio
- Memory: 32GB
- RAM: 2GB DDR
- Camera: 13.0MP or 8.0MP rear / 1.3MP front
- Battery: 2,100mAh (570Wh/L) / Talk time: 15 hours / Standby: 335 hours
- Size: 131.9 x 68.9 x 8.45mm
- Weight: 145g
- Other: Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, USB2.0 HS, A-GPS, MHL and DLNA, NFC
That’s a lot of goodies all in one device. The phone comes in at $600 no-contract and $130 on a 3-year on Rogers, so we’d imagine Bell’s pricing will follow closely. The price feels high when the Nexus 4, which shares many characteristics with the Optimus G, starts at only $300. However, the Optimus G is packed with some superiour features, particularly the 13MP camera. Decision time for a lot of you I’m sure
