The highly anticipated super phablet, the Galaxy Note II, is finally available in Canada! All the major carriers have officially launched the device today however it appears that supply may be scarce.
Here’s what Samsung had to say about the supply on launch day:
“We are working hard to get inventory to all of our carrier and retail partners, however in-store availability will be scarce until we get our full supply to stores over the next two weeks.”
Just in case you forget what the Note II is all about, here’s a full spec run down of the device:
- 5.5? HD Super AMOLED Plus Display (No Pentile!) at 720p
- 1.6 Ghz Quad-Core Exynos Processor
- 8MP Camera
- 1.9MP Front Facing Camera
- Up To 64GB Internal
- Micro-SD Card Slot
- 3100 mAh Battery
- New And Improved S-Pen
- LTE
In terms of pricing, the phone will set you back about $200 on a 3-year contract, $650 on a month-to-month, and $750 outright on the Big 3, while Mobilicity is to be selling at $660 no-contract (however, theirs does not seem to support LTE).
This is definitely my next phone. It’s all a matter of when I can get a hold of one now:). I’m especially excited after hearing about the little hack to enable 3rd party apps for the multi-screen function.
