In October 2024, Globalive, and their WIND Mobile brand, was denied by the CRTC to launch in Canada.
Then, this past Friday, the Canadian Federal Government overruled the CRTC ruling and allowed Globalive to launch in Canada. With the news of a new major wireless carrier about to hit Canadian shores, everyone was wondering about price plans.
Well it would seem that early WIND Mobile price plans have been revealed:

Chat: $15 per month
- Unlimited Canada-wide WIND to WIND calling
- 100 province-wide voice minutes
- 50 sent text messages; Unlimited incoming text messages
Always Talk: $35 per month
- Unlimited Canada-wide WIND to WIND calling
- Unlimited province-wide calling
- 50 sent text messages; Unlimited incoming text messages
Always Shout: $45 per month
- Unlimited Canada-wide calling
- Unlimited incoming/outgoing text messages
- Voicemail
Data Plans
Infinite Mobile: $35 per month (may used with any voice plan)
- Unlimited data with tethering
Infinite Laptop: $45 per month
- Unlimited data for Internet USB sticks
BlackBerry Data Plans
Social BlackBerry: $10 per month
- Unlimited instant messaging, Facebook and MySpace
Infinite BlackBerry: $35 per month (may be used with any voice plan)
- Unlimited data for BlackBerry
Add-ons
- Voice Minutes: $0.10 per Minute with the $15 plan

So far, the revealed price plans seem great, but whether they are true or not only time will tell. In any case, Globalive has indicated that the company will focus on high-end smartphones, so expect to see some Android-based devices pop-up soon.
