If you were impressed by Motorola’s offering in their new flagship, the Moto X, wait till you see this. Even though the Moto X can be considered a stock Android phone, many carriers (including in Canada) probably leave it that way by including as much bloatware as they can fit.
According to The Verge, they are reporting Motorola is planning on offering a fully unlocked, unbranded and “pure” version of their phone known as the “Pure Edition”. The closest thing to this would be a Google Play Edition or Nexus phone. So if you’re someone who likes to void their warranty or just plainly wants to use an unlocked Moto X, this would be perfect.
Price or US/Canadian availability wasn’t mentioned anywhere but it’s safe to assume it’ll cost as much as the locked variant.
