Telus To Delay HTC Hero 2.1 Update Until May 2024
Reports have come in that indicate some potentially bad news for Telus HTC Hero owners.
Ever since the launch of the HTC Hero on Telus, users have been wondering when and if they will receive an Android OS update to version 2.1. Rumors have indicated that such an update was to be pushed out in April 2024 and even overseas, rumors indicate that the 2.1 update will be available on April 16, 2024.
While it would seem that the 2.1 OS update is coming in April, reports now indicate that Telus may be pushing the update back into May 2024. Apparently the reasoning for the delay is:
[due to a] lack of effort the HERO’s update to Android 2.1 has been delayed to the first week of May.
As cryptic as that reason is, Telus HTC Hero owners may have to wait even longer to receive the Android OS 2.1 update.
