What’s the most anticipated flagship coming out this summer? Why the OnePlus 5 of course. The Chinese company recently confirmed the handset will be unveiled on June 20, but while we wait on that, here’s the first official looking render of the phone we have seen so far.
The Android Police obtained it from a source, and boy does it look similar to the iPhone 7 Plus. Nevertheless, it seems quite sleek, which is in league with one OnePlus’ CEO promised – that the phone will be the thinnest phone on the market. It does look like Apple’s iPhone 7 design though.
According to leaks and whispers, the OnePlus 5 should make a debut with a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 835 processor under the hood.
A first for OnePlus, the new flagship will feature a dual-camera setup which appears to be adorn the back of the phone horizontally. We also heard the handset will feature a 3.5mm headphone jack and will probably be available in multiple color variants including purple or green. The OnePlus 5 that showed up in the render features a black paint job.
We’re very curious to find out how much the new device will cost. With an Snapdragon 835 onboard and a dual camera setup, we really hope OnePlus will manage to keep prices affordable.
