As reported earlier, the Sony Xperia XA1 mid-ranger has made it to Canadian shores. The phone can be acquired from Videotron for the sum of $319.95 CAD in either white or black. Customers also have the alternative of grabbing the device for $0 CAD down with a monthly plan of $49.95 for two years.
Introduced alongside the Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XZs and Xperia XA1 Ultra at MWC 2024, the Xperia XA1 comes with a 5-inch display with 1280 x 720 resolution and really skinny bezels on the sides.
The phone takes advantage of a MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor that works in combination with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Perhaps the phone’s main selling point is the 23-megapixel main camera with Exmor RS sensor and f/2.0 lens, autofocus and SteadyShot. It also bundles an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with 23mm wide-angle lens.
Now if you’ve been accustomed to waterproof Sony phones, you should know the Xperia XA1 does not offer water or dust resistance, as it is only a budget model.
As we told you before, the Xperia XA1 should arrive at Freedom mobile on May 12. It’s more advanced brother, the Xperia XA1 Ultra should land in the country on June 22. The phone offers more RAM and storage and a larger 6-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution.
Any takers?
