It seems like Sony is going to be consistent with their naming scheme, especially now that the Xperia Z1 Compact turned out to be more than just another Sony smartphone.
Thanks to TechTastic, they uncovered a support document for some Sony bluetooth speaker and it apparently contains, right at the top of the list, an entry for the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. I think this is the first compact tablet Sony has ever developed. It would make sense if meant to be competing against the 7-inch to 8-inch tablet market that Apple and Samsung currently dominate.
As for other specs, it’s likely to be shipping with a 1080p LCD display and either the Snapdragon 801 or 805 SoC with 2 or 3GB of RAM. Release date is obviously not known but I expect this to be announced alongside the Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact during the Sony IFA press event in September.
