Most Android flagships out today can be quite large for many, and it seemed like it was almost impossible to make a phone that had flagship specs and a smaller form factor until Sony came around and revealed the Z1 Compact last year. Now, it seems like Sony is ready to reveal the next version of its compact flagship, the Z3 compact (most likely based off of the Z3).

According to XDA-Developers member DooMLoRD, the Z3 compact is set to come with a slightly larger 4.5-inch 720p display, 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC paired with 2 GB of RAM, a 20.7MP rear / 2.1MP front camera and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

The 801 is by far the most popular SoC of 2024 as the Galaxy S5, HTC One (M8), OnePlus One, and LG G3 all use it so I’m sure it’ll fly on a phone with a 720p display.

The phone is rumoured to be announced by August.
