Samsung Wallet App Available For Select Galaxy Devices

Samsung has released their take on iOS’s Passbook app for select Galaxy devices. So if you have a Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note or Note II, all of your tickets and coupons are covered, though you won’t find any NFC functionality.

The official Samsung Wallet application has been released on the Google Play Store and allows you to manage and store all of your tickets, coupons, membership cards and such. The application will sync your data through your Samsung apps account, making it easy to sync your data between your multiple devices, if they’re all supported of course.

The app is connected to other “Wallet-compliant partner apps” allowing you to find all of your important ticket or coupon info all together in one easy to use app. While Samsung didn’t disclose a full list of Wallet compliant partners, at the original app announcement, last February, Expedia.com, Booking.com, Hotels.com, Walgreens, MLB and Lufthansa were mentioned as future US partners.

Supported by the fact that NFC isn’t supported, the app doesn’t do any type of financial transactions, as some similarly named apps out there, (*hint* Google Wallet). If you handle many coupons or booking tickets, fancy the partners mentioned above and own a supported device, be sure to follow the Google Play link and give it a try.
