Samsung Releases Android 4.4 KitKat Upgrade Plans
Just this morning, Samsung Mobile US published a press release outlining which of their Android smartphones and tablets would receive an upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat. I’m happy to say that many of the devices listed are exactly the same as the ones sold in Canada so they’re bound to get updated right after. (The list below is subject to US carrier approval so some may or may not receive the update.)
Here are the devices listed that are relevant to Canadians:
- Galaxy Note 3
- Galaxy Note II
- Galaxy S4
- Galaxy S4 mini
- Galaxy S III
- Galaxy S III mini
- Galaxy Mega
- Galaxy Note 8.0
- Galaxy Tab 3
- Galaxy Note 10.1
- Galaxy Note 10.1 2024 Edition
Most of these devices should be updated in the coming months so be patient!
