Samsung Browser Beta is Now Available for Nexus Users
Bored of using Chrome or Opera Mini on your Android? Well good news then, because Samsung’s own browser application has just landed in the Google Play Store.
Like in the case of Samsung services that have been limited to Galaxy smartphones (like Samsung Pay) so far, Samsung Internet browser is now extending availability to include handsets launched by other Android OEMs.
However, we need to note that this the Beta version and it won’t work with all smartphones.
Samsung notes that the Internet Browser will work with all Google Nexus phones running Android 5.0 Lollipop+. It’s not available in all countries just yet, either.
The app offers a slew of cool features including support for 360 videos – which means users can watch a 360-degree video without needing a VR headset – picture-in-picture mode, DuckDuckGO search engine support and the Amazon Shopping Assistant.
The app is also famous for its ad blocking feature, which means you won’t be seeing any unwanted pop-ups while browsing. It’s a very solid Internet browser and very excited to try it out. So Canadian Nexus users are you seeing the Samsung Browser app in the Play Store? If you do, please let us known in the comments.
Hopefully, Samsung will add more compatible device soon enough.
