The Xperia Z series has been known to not introduce a radical redesign over each predecessor, and it seems to be the same case with the Xperia Z4.
Future Supplier, the same site that showed off the Xperia Z4 LCD assembly a few months back, are now claiming to have obtained the front housing of the Xperia Z4. Upon first look, it doesn’t appear that different compared to the Xperia Z3’s frame.
Except for one major thing; the microSD card slot. This could mean that Sony will not support the microSD card, following in the footsteps of HTC and Samsung. The magnetic charging port has also disappeared and with all these sacrifices, Sony has made it thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 Edge. The Micro USB charging port has been moved to the bottom with no USB flap, which means the IP68 waterproofing showed off with the Xperia Z3 has been dropped.
The Xperia Z4 is slated to release in the summer of this year.
