Almost everyone in the Android community has been covering the news of what could be Samsung’s first metallic smartphone. Previous reports used to call the phone as Galaxy S5 Prime, then Galaxy F, and it was only last week when the name was changed once again to Galaxy Alpha. And today, we finally see what it actually looks like.
Thanks to SamMobile, they have put up a bunch of pictures showing the Alpha up against Samsung’s current flagship, the Galaxy S5. I kind of think the Alpha resembles the Galaxy S2 quite a bit, albeit coming with a larger screen and a bottom facing speaker. The phone still uses a faux leather material for the battery cover but aluminum is in fact present and it covers the sides of the entire phone.
Now for the specs. SamMobile is estimating the phone will come with a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED display, almost the same as the Galaxy S3. It also might come with the new Exynos ModAP SoC and 32GB of internal storage with no SD Card expansion either. It seems like this phone will be placed between the Galaxy S5 and its mini, so it’s safe to call it the S5 Lite/Neo or something along those lines.
This phone really had a lot of potential from the rumours and reports we’ve been covering, but it seems like yet another Samsung phone to keep count of. For the full gallery, check out the source link below.
