The OnePlus 5 is one of the most anticipated smartphones coming out these summer. But when can we actually expect to see it arrive?
According to a leaked launch teaser which was shared on China’s microblogging website, Weibo the answer seems to be June 20. An earlier leak suggested the phone could make a debut a few days earlier on June 15.
The OnePlus 5 is expected to be the first phone coming out of the company to sport a dual-camera setup. On top of that, the handset should pack Qualcomm’s newest premium chipset the Snapdragon 835, as well as at least 6GB of RAM.
According to a screenshot made using the phone and shared by OnePlus’ CEO Pete Lau, the OnePlus 5 will boast fullHD resolution (1080 x 1920) and not QHD as some have hoped. The image also reveals the phone will pack 4G connectivity, VoLTE and dual-SIM functionality.
The phone will supposedly be powered by a 3,300 mAh battery and according to Lau will be the thinnest flagship available. We also expect to see the OnePlus 5 be offered with some interesting color options this year.
