Some More Nexus 6 Details Show Up

It’s only a few more weeks until the official announcement/release of the Nexus 6 or X but that doesn’t stop people from getting an early hands on of the device.

Twitter user @r0fl apparently has access to a Nexus 6 himself and did not hesitate in sharing the CPUID info about the phone. As reported earlier, it’s going to be rocking the Snapdragon 805 SoC clocked at 2.7 GHz . He also posted a second screenshot of the phone, again running the latest version of Android L we’ve been seeing, confirming 3 GB of RAM while showing off some pieces of information we haven’t seen yet.

Android L is confirmed to be version 5.0 and the respective Linux kernel version is FINALLY bumped up to 3.10.40, from 3.4 on KitKat and the L Dev Preview. The screen resolution is obviously reporting a QHD display with a system screen density of 560dpi. Do note that this is not the ppi, but is probably another dpi category for this phone. It also shows internal storage of 23.03 GB which points at a 32 GB variant, but I have to say, it does seem the OS is reserving quite a bit of GBs.

The phone is expected to be released this month, alongside the HTC Nexus 9 and Android L.
