New Tag Heuer Modular Smartwatch Uses Android Wear 2.0

The smartwatch market is fading, but some manufacturers are still think the niche is worth pursuing. Like Tag Heuer which thinks customers are just dying to spend $2,154 CAD on its new Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch.

The device called the Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45 watch. As the name suggest, the device can be easily customized because the company offers a lot of options which will help you differentiate your model from the next Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45 watch. Well it’s not modularity à la Moto Z, but it’s still something.

The intelligent timepiece will be offered in 11 different designs with either brush titanium or Black PVD faces. Starting from here, customers can build the watch of their dreams by adding complementary bezels, lugs and straps.

But wait that’s not all, Tag Heuer will also offer 45 more options that can be ordered from a boutique or online. Straps will be available in rubber, leather, titanium and ceramic.

What’s more the Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45 watch is compatible for swapping with two mechanical models including the Calibre 5 and Heuer 02T Tourbillion Chronograph. Oh and here are the full specs:

The watch goes on sale on March 15. No word yet whether or not it will make it to Canada.
