As many of you who follow me on Google+ probably know, I’ve recently picked up myself a Galaxy S3 to play with. The phone is outstanding to say the least, but there is only one single issue I see people mentioning and making a bit of a fuss over.
Apparently some S3 owners are not completely satisfied with the brightness of their auto adjusted brightness, especially when outdoors. The guys over at XDA have come up with a way to boost the values of the auto brightness, giving you that bolder brighter screen you’ve been looking for while using the auto brightness settings.
Brightness Fix for Galaxy S3 (I9300 International Version)
This mod is made for the I9300 version, but Might work on North American version i747 as well. (Untested)
Root is required to flash this mod, and of course this is one of those flash at your own risk situations. I’m personally using this mod on my S3 I9300 and loving it.
WHAT YOU NEED
- International galaxy s3 with root, insicure kernel
- ClockWordMod Recovery
- My file attached
THE GUIDE
First of all make a nandroid backup!! I’m not responsable for any problem! You make this procedure at your risk!!!
- Go into recovery
- Flash the zip do you want
- Reboot and….enjoy your perfect brightness level
