HTC’s Upcoming Flagship Phone Could Be Called HTC O2

As you know, HTC released the One M9 earlier this year featuring an almost identical design to their most popular smartphone, the One (M8). Because of this, many HTC fans were disappointed and the excessive heat issues that came with the Snapdragon 810 SoC inside the phone just made it worse.

According to a new report from Chinese site Mobile-Dad, the phone is going to be called the HTC O2 rather than the M10 and it’s expected to be coming out around MWC 2024. It will also house Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 820 SoC built on the 14nm FinFet process by Samsung which will allow the phone to “theoretically” have longer battery life and less heat.

HTC is also rumoured to be adding waterproofing and dust proofing capabilities to the phone.
