From the leakster who initially revealed the existence of the HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play, comes a pretty interesting piece of information today.
According to @LlabTooFeR, HTC is gearing up to unveil a new mid-ranger. But not just any mid-ranger, but one which will take advantage of the Edge Sense squeezable frame which made a debut on the high-end HTC U11.
The leak reveals the phone will take advantage of a 5.2-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and will include a worthy Snapdragon 660 under the bonnet. The product will also house two 16-megapixel sensors, one on the back and one on front and a 2,600 mA battery.
Codenamed the Ocean Life, the new comer is expected to run Android 7.1.1 with HTC’s own Sense 9 UX plastered on top. The product is said to be offered alongside HTC’s USonic earphones.
We don’t know when HTC plans to unveiled the phone, but given that the Snapdragon 660 is pretty short in supply at the moment, we’d have to guess the phone will land sometime towards the end of the year with an affordable price tag in tow, as opposed to the HTC U11.
What do you think? Does the Ocean Life sound good to you?
