So, it’s been confirmed… China has given their approval to the acquisition of Motorola by Google, thus completing the circuit and allowing the merger to go forward.
As I mentioned in my #patentfun article the other day (everybody reads those right?) China only had one stipulation to the purchase, that Android remain ‘open’ for the next 5 years. Now there’s debate on why that is, or even how Google will be able to do that within China.
Google also had some suggestions of their own, they let Sanjay Jha go and are putting Dennis Woodside in his place as the CEO.
