Android N was announced way back in March and went through a lot of changes since then. But as with every other release, Google keeps its final version name secret in order to build hype. During Google I/O, the company invited everyone to submit what they think should be the next name and now the company has finally revealed what the N stands for; Android Nougat.
Well there it is!
The OS itself is slated for release by the end of Q2 and will be available to download for the Nexus 5X, 6, 6P, and 9.
