Samsung Galaxy S8 Users Get Exclusive Google Play Music Feature

Holding on to a Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+? Then we’re happy to announce that Google is currently rolling out a new exclusive Google Play Music for owners of these devices called New Release Radio.

As the name indicates, the new feature is a tool designed to help music lovers stay up to date with the latest releases. With so many artists out there, it sometimes proves a complicated task to keep track with which band is releasing a new album or EP or when it becomes available for streaming.

With the New Release Radio feature on, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ owners are covered. For the time being the option will remain exclusive two Samsung’s two flagships, but it’s very possible Google will extend its availability to include other Android devices at some point in the near future.

Still it seems there’s a way you can get the exclusive feature on your smartphone right now. This thread on Reddit explains how you can do it.

Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ owners were already treated to a few perks, Google Play Music-wise. For example, they are allowed to upload up to 100,000 songs to their virtual database, rather than the usual 50,000.

If you too have a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ check your phone to see if the feature has become available.
