Galaxy Nexus Vs. Galaxy Note: Camera Quality
Once again I have been requested to do a side by side comparison of the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy Note (International 1.4Ghz Exynos)
Galaxy Nexus camera is set at 5MP, Galaxy Note is set to 6.5MP (Wide Screen). All other options are left as default.
I took 3 identical pictures using both phones. Low light, inside + flash with focusing on small print writing, Outdoor Dusk Sky (No flash), Inside Closeup (No flash)

Nexus adds a harsh Gold tint to my desk, but maintains clarity. Text on the battery slightly more clear than the Galaxy Note? Close call.
Zooming in closely, you can see blurriness in his fur. Fur comes out too white. Should have a orange tint from the sunshine outside.
Very clear, great color, Tree tops and reflections from the windshields are somewhat blurred.

Note: Even at 6.5MP (Wide) I exceeded my 2Mb limit, I was forced to slim them down slightly. Some quality might be lost, but it would be very slim.
Color is true, no harsh gold tint like Nexus. Clarity is equal to Nexus
Zooming in, fur is more clear than the Nexus. slight orange tint from the sunshine as seen in real life when taking the picture. Nexus Cleaned up the tint and made his fur pure white, is that better than true color? This one is hard to decide on.
The sky is a deeper blue, true to real life color. Zooming in tree tops and windshields have cleaner lines than Nexus.
Final Word: After playing with both phones for a while. I have determined that the Galaxy Nexus may have an edge at close up macro shots, but the Galaxy Note excelles at Medium – Long range photos and maintains true color over the Galaxy Nexus. Galaxy Note’s 6.5MP Wide Screen photos are a huge plus for those landscape pictures and family gatherings.
Both phones perform very well. I’d be happy being stuck with either one of these as an only option.
If you wish to see other comparisons, feel free to post them within the comments below. I will try my best top fulfill them the best I can with the limited time I have.
