How the test was set up
The author tried to keep conditions equal. Both phones were rooted and ran custom ROMs close to stock, with most bloatware removed. The original post showed benchmark screenshots for each device, which are not reproduced here.
What the results showed
The Galaxy Note led in the speed tests. The author also compared them side by side by pressing each button at the same moment. Time after time, the Galaxy Nexus was still loading while the Note had finished, at least a second behind. In day to day tasks the Galaxy Note felt noticeably faster.
Limits of the comparison
- It covered one international variant of the Note, not the Canadian model.
- Both phones ran custom software, so results may differ on stock firmware.
- Benchmarks are a snapshot and do not capture every real world use.
