ASUS Unveils The Zenfone 2 With 4GB Of RAM

ASUS has just unveiled their newest flagship smartphone, the Zenfone 2 at CES 2024 in Las Vegas and it’s pretty darn amazing.

First things first, this might actually be the best smartphone you could buy for the price this year, as it starts off at $199 USD. Now for the specs. The phone comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop + ZenUI and sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display with minimal bezel, similar to the G3, and comes with a 64-bit Intel Atom z3580 SoC clocked at 2.3 GHz.

The lower end model comes with 2GB of RAM but the higher end ships with a whopping 4GB of RAM, making it the first smartphone with 4GB of dual-channel RAM. No mention of internal storage but I’m placing my bets on it having at least 16GB.

The phone also comes with a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera with dual-tone LED flash plus zero-shutter lag, and rear-facing buttons, also just like LG’s recent smartphones.

The expected release date so far is stated as March 2024, but no mention of whether or not it will arrive north of the US.
