The flux of Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch releases has been slacking off, as of late. But a new announcement coming out of luxury fashion brand Armani has smartwatch fans hopeful again.
The company’s first Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch called Connected will make a debut in retail on September 14. It’s going to offer the standard features like activity tracking, smartphone notification relay and music controls. And what Armani hopes will set it apart from the countless smartwatch models available on the market, is its stylish appearance.
The Connected is going to feature the Emporio Armani fashion brand and a cleaned-up sturdy design. It’s going to be offered with a choice of 8 straps and some exclusive watchfaces.
Armani hasn’t shared much info about the wearable’s specs, so we’ll have to assume it will come equipped with the standard configuration meaning an AMOLED display, a Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset and 4GB of internal storage.
While we don’t doubt the Armani Connected smartwatch is going to look quite stunning, we can’t help but wonder how much it will cost. Given that Armani is a luxury fashion brand, it will certainly not come cheap.
How much would you be willing to pay for a fashionable Android Wear 2.0 intelligent timepiece?
