It has been more than a month since Google pushed out an update to everyone with an Android Wear device, and it was promised that offline music playback and GPS support would come with a later update. And that later update, is finally here.
Many LG G Watch owners are reporting that they have been notified about a new Android Wear update; 4.4W.2. This update, as you probably guessed, does bring offline music and GPS support but it’s too bad the LG G Watch does not come with a GPS. The build number for the update is KNX01Q.
Motorola also confirmed the Moto 360 will also be receiving the update “soon” and it’s set to include new modes like Smart Battery Saving mode (turn off ambient mode when battery is 15%), UI tweaks to hide notifications temporily and of course, bug fixes.
A major update to Android Wear, probably version 2.0, is still expected to be released by next month.
