Android in a sea of blackberries [RIM still the biggest slice of the pie in Canada]

Being the geek that I am, I noticed tech stuff as I walk about.  My work tends to bring me to many events with business-folk, and I notice that although I hear that Android is on the rise for market-share, I still see a lot of RIM products around.

Now, that’s a slanted view – most of what I view is business related, and RIM has done an excellent job in the past of promoting BB devices as primarily work tools.  And, we’re Canadian.  We have to support our Canadian companies [I’m pretty big on a ‘buy local’ kick lately].

heh

But where are all the Androids?  When I do a quick look on Rogers’ site:

We see that Android doubles BB items.  Telus shows the same (14-7) and Bell has 11 – 4 [5 of which are ‘super phones’].

Then today a report was released on “Mobil-ology Study of Smartphone, Tablet & eReader” by Ipso-Reid we see that the Android is on the grow, but RIM still is the biggest holder (although on a slight decline).
