It’s been a month since Android 6.0 Marshmallow was released to the public, and Google has just posted their Android Distribution numbers for November. For those unfamiliar with this monthly occurrence, these numbers are updated by Google at roughly the start of every month for developers to look at so they can generalize what version of Android their potential install base is running and act upon it.
A month later, we can now see Android 6.0 made its appearance on the chart with 0.3% of the share. Android 5.1 increased 2.2% whereas 5.0 and 4.4 KitKat dropped 0.1% and 1.1% respectively. Jelly Bean continued its slow decline where Android 2.2 Froyo and 2.3 Gingerbread managed to stay constant.
Hopefully Marshmallow increases its growth rate so we can compare how well it fairs against Lollipop the same time last year.
