Android Distribution Numbers Out For March, Android 6.0 Marshmallow Jumps To 2.3%
We’re now a week into the month of March and Google has just updated their Android distribution numbers accordingly. These numbers are updated by Google at roughly the start of every month for developers to look at so they can gen eralize what version of Android their potential install base is running and act upon it.
Since last month, Android 6.0 Marshmallow has risen 1.1% to sit at 2.3%.
Surprisingly, Lollipop has increased more than Marshmallow this month as it now sits at 36.1%. KitKat and Jelly Bean decrease by 1.2% and 1.6% respectively. Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread continue their slow death to sit at 2.3% and to 2.6% whereas Froyo still manages to hang on at merely 0.1%.
