So, I’ve never considered myself much of a meme guy, but I thought that the title quite fit.
I’ve also never considered myself much of a modder either, but I used to love playing with my old netbooks or old PCs with live ISO to try a new operating system. Remember gOS? Loved it.
Well with the advent of android and chromeOS… I was really excited (and you know how much I love Google).
Lately there has been a real insurgence of being able to put Android on any item. Here’s a couple of quick recent items:
Pandaboard
For those of you unfamiliar with Pandaboard (like me before I saw it), it’s a device that’s like the most beta/prototype of a system. Essentially the breadboard of the device. It’s a nice geeky-plaything. And now, you can have it with Ice Cream Sandwich [link below] or Honeycomb [link above]
Cotton Candy USB
Okay, so you plug this USB device into your TV, say, by the HDMI, you plug in a keyboard/mouse with the USB, and then you can have some extra storage via SD. It then turns your TV into an Android device! Wicked
Android on an eeePC
As a long time user of the eeePC’s, I’m well aware of what they can do, but I never really got Android working on them, and by the time I guess they were getting fully developed, I had already been using a tablet/phone, so no bother. But I might just re-look at it [still have one eeePC left after I tried selling them all off].
Here’s a look at Honeycomb on the netbook. That’s most interesting!
