Android 7.0 Nougat for OnePlus 3 Release Date: November
Android 7.0 Nougat has been released for two months now, but the software has yet to arrive on the majority of smartphones in circulation today.
The LG G5 is currently receiving Android 7.0 Nougat in South Korea, while Samsung has kickstarted a beta program for the newest Android version in the US and UK. It seems like OnePlus will soon be jumping on the Nougat bandwagon too.
OnePlus’ head of software, Brian Yoon confirmed with Engadget last week the beta community build will become available for the OnePlus 3 at the end of this month. That’s a pretty nice pre-Christmas gift isn’t it?
Yoon also specified that older devices such as the OnePlus 2 will also get a taste of Nougat as well, but at the moment we can’t tell you when exactly it will happen.
Once the update gets rolling, it will hit some territories sooner, while others will have longer to wait. But users in Canada will hopefully receive their update until Christmas, which will come through carriers.
Speaking of Android 7.0 Nougat, OnePlus will probably be unveiling soon a new handset, the OnePlus 3T which is expected to ship out with Nougat out of the box and OxygenOS on top. The phone is also rumoured to be the first to make an appearance with 8GB of RAM.
