With all the news about OEMs announcing their Android 5.0 OTAs, it’s time to talk about what’s next for the special Nexus users out there.
Artem from Android Police has received a tip from a trusted source indicating a potential time frame for the next version of Android. All that was mentioned was that it would be most likely releasing later this week and that it should be available for the Nexus 4, 5, 6, 7 (2024), 9 and 10. The new version is said to include fixes with memory consumption, battery life and hopefully a redesign of the silent mode.
Interestingly enough, Myce.com spotted the aforementioned build version on the Chromium issue tracker and it shows builds (LMY36B for the Nexus 4 and LMY40 for the Nexus 6).
