Android 5.1 Lollipop Revealed For Android One Devices
After three long months, we finally know what the next version of Android is: Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Google put up a page of its new Android One smartphone for the Indonesian market but it has since removed every instance of the 5.1 release. Luckily, Android Police received images of Android 5.1 running on the phone showing off two of the most obvious features.
The first new feature in this build is the ability to select WiFi networks and nearby Bluetooth devices from within the Quick Settings toggle.
The second notable feature (thanks to @gadtorade) is this new Volta activity that shows not only the battery level, but user level wakelocks like app updates and their time of occurance.
Other than that, there’s not much else to say. There have been rumours about the return of silent mode, after its disappearance in 5.0 from Kitkat and earlier.
Hopefully the update rolls out for Nexus devices this month.
