Sony Google TV Now Available

After so many years of coveting our southern neighbours’ Google TVs, Sony has now officially started shipping the first Google TV device to Canadians! I just received my confirmation in my mailbox today, and Sony’s Canadian website now has the NSZ-GS7 listed as in stock for the price of $199.99. No word yet on whether the Sony stores have them in stock yet, but last I heard they were getting them in soon.

If you are curious about picking one up, stayed tuned for my review of the unit once I get it in the next couple of days. I will put it through it’s paces and see if it works as well up here as it does in the US. I don’t have much hope since I don’t think that the Google TV will work with our cable boxes (one of the key features of Google TV), but I will reserve judgement.
