Well a while ago I decided to pick up the Logitech Revue … heck it was $100 only, so why not. It allowed me to get Netflix on my TV.
For a while it’s been a pretty ‘lame-duck’ for me, as much of the cool stuff . Which is alright, we’re used to not getting the latest and greatest up here in Canada. But then CES showed off some pretty cool GoogleTV stuff so I got a little jealous, and debated about how I might have to eventually hack the heck out of this Revue.
But yesterday, GoogleTV announced what is expected to be the first in many in some of the changes for GoogleTV, they updated the Youtube app. Next to Netflix this is the most used app on my box. As of writing I’m not seeing the update on my market, but we can wait.
“First you’ll notice the app works faster with smoother navigation for a better experience,” Google product manager Jurek Foryciarz wrote on the Google TV Blog. “Next, we’ve added a new feature called Discover, which lets you browse YouTube channels by categories.”
