Next Generation of Galaxy Tab Now Known as Galaxy Note 10.1
Samsung officially titled the next generation of Galaxy Tablet to be released will be called the Galaxy Note 10.1. Though not officially saying they are discontinuing the name Galaxy Tab, I believe it’s implied. This 10.1 device teamed up with a stylus may help guide work flow on a more interactive manner, never before seen in the tablet world. Looks like we will have to really keep our eyes open on this one to see what kind of special features they can include on a full size tablet and pen combo, compared to the smaller version Galaxy Note 5.3 edition.
Galaxy Note 10.1 are said to be:
- 10.1″ Display (1280 x 800)
- 1.4Ghz dual core processor
- 3MP camera
- 2MP front camera
- Pre-loaded with Android OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
- Multi-Screen function to help guide work flow
- HSPA+ (3G) + Wifi. – Unclear at this point if there will be separate versions for Wifi only or not.
- Rumoured to have 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB versions available.
Specs look good and all, but realistically speaking, Canada will probably only have a 32GB version perhaps with Wifi only. We seem to get robbed of our options compared to our South Canadian friends (United States)
The concerning question I have is, can a dual core tablet really out shine a quad core because of a pen and a couple extra features, or is samsung a little late to release this? I guess we will see the answer to that question in due time.
