HTC One (M7) Sense 6.0 Update Coming May 12 in Canada
What was announced
Carrier certification is the last major step before an update goes out in Canada, so the news meant the update was close. The start date was May 12, a Monday, and owners were encouraged to check that day.
How big was the change
Sense 6.0 was not a drastic change from the version already running on the M7. It was a modest refresh of HTC’s software layer on the same phone.
How to check for the update
- Wait for the automatic notification first.
- If nothing arrives, open Settings.
- Go to the software update option and run a manual check.
A manual check can find the update before the notification appears. Use Wi-Fi, because updates are large.
Status today
This is historical news. The original HTC One (M7) is long outdated and no longer receives updates.
