ICS 4.0.4 Imminent for Many Android Devices, Come on Galaxy Note!
Google released the following statement:
We’ve started rolling out Android 4.0.4, Ice Cream Sandwich, to UMTS/GSM Nexus S, Xoom Wi-Fi, and HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus devices, and we’ll be rolling it out to more devices in the coming weeks. Some of you will be receiving Ice Cream Sandwich for the first time, while others will be receiving an update to your existing Ice Cream Sandwich experience with stability improvements, better camera performance, smoother screen rotation, improved phone number recognition and more.
We know many phones have been saying “2nd quarter release” for Ice Cream Sandwich updates. Samsung has even gone as far as to release commercials and pictures of the Galaxy Note already running ICS on the device. Myself and many others included are really starting to jump for joy at this point, as Google confirmed it for us, “we’ll be rolling it out to more devices in the coming weeks”.
Rumours around the internet were saying that many devices will be OTA updated by the end of April, but what if we get them sooner, and how much sooner? I’ve heard whispers around the forums, that some users believe we’ll see updates within the first half of April. Please let them be right!
