The New Nexus 7 Is Official
Well breakfast has been served and it looks like a new Nexus 7 was on the menu. Earlier today, Google announced the sequel to their low cost yet ultra powerful Nexus 7. Here’s the specs for the new guy:
- 7″ 1920×1200 Resolution Display
- Quad-Core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro
- Adreno 320 GPU
- 2GB RAM
- 5MP Camera
- 1.2MP Front Facing Camera
- 16GB/32GB Internal Storage
- HDMI Output
- Optional 3G/4G/LTE Connectivity
As you can see, they’ve improved basically everything in the device while making the body 2mm thinner, 6mm narrower, and 50g lighter. According to the Google team, overall performance will be quite a step over the original and battery life is supposed to be in the 9-10 hour range.
The price, which is what really helped set the original device apart, is right where we expected it to be. It’ll cost you about $229.99 USD for a 16GB model and $269.99 USD for a 32GB model. The device will launch in the US on July 30 and Canada is supposed to get it in a “few” weeks.
Who’s going to be buying??
