Acer Coming Out With A Nexus 7 Challenger

The Nexus 7 has become a dominant force in the 7″ tablet space, but it looks like a very strong competitor is about to break onto the market (and no, I’m not talking about the rumoured new iPad mini).  Today Acer has announced a new 7″ Tegra 3 powered tablet, the A110.  Here’s the full spec breakdown:

  • 7″ 1024×600 Display
  • Tegra 3 Processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8GB Storage (Plus Micro-SD Card Slot)
  • Front-Facing Camera
  • HDMI Out
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

All this comes in at the low low starting price of $229.99 and should be available at the end of the month, October 30.  Looks like a good product to me but I can’t make any final judgements until I can’t see it first hand.  Would this sway any of you guys from buying a Nexus 7?  Or is the Nexus line enough of a draw to keep people in the Asus camp?
