Samsung To Release 3G Enabled Smart Watch
Thus far, Samsung hasn’t done especially well in the wearable tech market. The original Galaxy Gear wasn’t really flying off the shelves (until the $99 fire sale hit that is) and there isn’t a whole lot of buzz around their new offerings either. That, of course, doesn’t mean Samsung will stop trying though. According to the Korea Herald, Samsung is planning to launch a 3G capable smart watch that will be named the Samsung Gear Solo.
It’s not known just how functional the 3G capable watch will be but it is said to be able to place and receive phone calls independent of ones smartphone. According to SK Telecom source, the device will only be available in Korea but as with all products, things can change if the product is well received by the public.
What do you guys think? Would you prefer a 3G enabled watch over a watch that needs to be connected to your smartphone at all times?
