Verizon To Get Exclusive G2 That Features Wireless Charging

LG G2 Verizon

We just shared with you all that the G2 will be coming to Canada this fall on variety of different carriers.  Well Verizon has also announced that they’ll be picking up LG’s new flagship device; however, their particular version gets a little something extra.  As you can see in the photo above, Verizon will be getting an exclusive variant of the G2 that will feature wireless charging!

Now I have not personally used a wireless charger but I definitely think I would enjoy the option.  I also think that wireless chargering will become more and more standard as we move forward in the tech industry so, to me, it’s a little ridiculous for LG to only make this option available on one carrier.  I completely understand why carriers try to work out these exclusive offers (it’s all about the marketing and money!) but as a consumer, I really wish that manufacturers would cut down on the variants of their devices.  To me, it ultimately frustrates the end consumer knowing that there’s a better/different version of the same phone out there that they simply can’t have.

What do you guys think about these variants and exclusives?  Should manufacturers simply stick with one identical phone for all markets?
