Something Small Is Coming – Galaxy S III Mini

The Galaxy S III is a world wide success.  However, as someone who is involved in the cell phone business one of the complaints I have heard from a good number of people is that the phone is just too big.  ”It’s too big for my hands.”  ”It’s too big for my pocket.”  And though I often try to assure them that it’s actually a lot more manageable than what you see at first glance, many often will opt for a smaller phone.

Well perhaps that smaller phone will soon be a smaller Galaxy S III.  The Galaxy S III mini has been rumoured for a little while now but it seems as though the announcement is coming up quickly.  An invitation has gone out from Samsung’s German division inviting people to an event being held on October 11.  You can see the famous S in the invitation and so we know it’ll be something for the S series.

The main rumoured changes to this device over the original are: 1. the smaller 4″ screen and 2. a 5MP camera.  There’s not a lot else that can be said at this point as rumours are faint.  But we only need to wait a few days to see what little thing Samsung has up its sleeve.
