Rumour: Nexus 5 To Start At $299 – Larger Battery In $399 Model
News and rumours regarding the Nexus 5 have been a plenty lately and it definitely seems like the launch is imminent. One of the looming questions regarding the phone though is the price. Will it be as reasonable as we all hope it to be? Well according to a “tip” over on PhoneArena, the low price will indeed remain in tact.
According to the source, starting price for the Nexus 5 will be $299. That model will come equipped with 16GB of internal storage and a 2300mAh battery. The higher priced model will cost $399 and will come with 32GB of storage and, wait for it, a 3000 mAh battery!
While offering different storage options is completely normal, offering different battery capacities for a phone is very very strange, let alone a phone with a non-removable back. I’m quite skeptical about that portion of this “tip” but the price seems about right.
So who’s planning to buy one if the prices hold true?
