Rumour: Expandable Storage To Make A Comeback On The Galaxy S7
The lack of expandable storage on this years flagship devices from Samsung caused quite a commotion. Many perspective buyers were turned off by the decision and some Samsung faithful chose to look elsewhere for their flagship fix this year. Well it appears that Samsung has learned their lesson and will be bringing expandable storage back to their flagship line.
The rumour was posted on Weibo and according to the source, Samsung will be bringing back expandable storage with next years Galaxy S7 (everybody cheers!). The source also stated that the two storage options for the Galaxy S7 are currently 32GB and 64GB. As you probably know, the 128GB model hasn’t been selling well and Samsung dropped that option with the recently released Note 5 and S6 Edge+ so this isn’t much of a surprise.
On a less celebratory note, the source also claims that removable batteries will not make a return on the S7. Samsung is essentially choosing style over function but if they’re able to continually push their battery optimization, this isn’t too much of a loss in my opinion.
What do you guys think? Are you excited about the possible return of expandable storage?!?
